The enchanting voice of romanian tenor, Andrei Manea, currently based in Bucharest and Cluj, captivates audiences worldwide with his stunning performances
Tenor Andrei Manea is a young artist who takes on a wide range of roles, performing both in theaters in Romania and abroad. He graduated from the "Gheorghe Dima" National Music Academy. Between 2017 and 2020, he was a soloist at the "Lya Hubic" Opera Studio of the Romanian National Opera in Cluj-Napoca and a permanent collaborating soloist at the same institution.
His professional journey includes accomplishments such as: finalist of the Verum Solitus Vocal Competition and winner of the National Opera of Bucharest award (2023), finalist of the "Armel Opera" International Competition (2018), Paris (France); ISA (International Summer Academy) scholarship holder in 2018, Vienna (Austria), where he held a series of concerts under the guidance of world-renowned artists such as Ramon Vargas, Michael Schade, Margit Klaushofer, and conductor Vladimir Kiradjiev; laureate of the "Hong Kong International Vocal Open Competition" (2018), Hong Kong (China).
He has performed on the stage of the Romanian National Opera in Bucharest, the National Opera in Cluj, and other specialized institutions both in Romania and abroad, in numerous shows and concerts. Among the roles he has studied are: Alfredo - La Traviata by G. Verdi; Don Jose - Carmen by G. Bizet; Turiddu - Cavalleria Rusticana by P. Mascagni; Macduff – Macbeth by G. Verdi; Ciprian Porumbescu - Lăsați-mă să cânt by G. Dendrino; Gabriel von Eisenstein - Die Fledermaus by J. Strauss; Rodolfo - La Bohème by G. Puccini; Don Ottavio - Don Giovanni by W. A. Mozart; Danilo - The Merry Widow by F. Lehár; Riccardo - Un Ballo in Maschera by G. Verdi; Pedro – Tiefland by Eugen d'Albert.
The beginning of his international career is marked by his appearance at the Erfurt Opera (Germany): debut in the role of Ismaele – Nabucco by G. Verdi, at the Erfurt Opera – Domstufen Festival (Germany), "Romantic Moments" concert by Andrei Manea - Starkenburg Philharmoniker - conductor Günter Stegmüller (2022) in Viernheim, Hockenheim, "Romanian Extraordinary Gala" concert in Jerusalem Orchestra, and the "Drei Tenore" concert in Pforzheim.
